President 
Shelby Freese

Shelby is a graduating senior studying Sustainable Manufacturing, minoring in Business Administration. This is her 5th year in SWE, and her second year of being President. For FY18 Shelby was also our Region A Collegiate Senator. She has held internships the past 2 summers at Cummins Inc. in Southern Indiana.

Vice President
Ariana Deanda

Ariana is senior majoring in Electrical Engineering and double minoring in Computer Engineering and Applied Mathematics. She switched from animal science to engineering because she enjoyed math and wanted to apply it to engineering. Over the summer she worked with Upward Bound Trio to teach first-generation students to code in Python and applied it to Raspberry Pi microcontrollers. Ariana’s goal is to work as a power systems engineer for a private contractor and pursue her masters. Besides engineering, she trains in boxing and spoils her Siamese cat.

Beatrice Ju

Beatrice is currently a Junior at CSU Chico, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and minoring in Manufacturing. Her goal is to become a mechanical engineer, while maintaining a role in SWE at the
national level. Beatrice's favorite class so far has been MECH 210 where she found her passion for material treatments. During her free time, Beatrice loves playing badminton with friends, and enjoys
volunteering at the local animal shelter.

Nancy Luu

Nancy is currently a super senior at CSU Chico, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Nancy has worked at a fish aquarium through high school and this past summer enjoyed interning at Sierra Pacific Industries. Nancy has continually made the Dean's list for multiple semesters and her goal is to work at an aerospace company where her work can help impact the world. Outside of classes, Nancy loves the outdoors and her pass times include hiking, badminton, and rock climbing.

Sydney is entering her second semester of junior year at Chico State with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. She is currently working as an engineering intern running product analysis for a local company, Lares Research. Sydney was born in Chico and plans on staying local after she graduates, in Spring of next year.
