On September 23rd several of our officers had the opportunity to work with the local NorCal girl scouts. The officers put on an all-day workshop with fun activities and lessons that taught the importance of considering environmental impact in any design, idea, or discipline of work. In the workshop, dubbed “Make It Green!”, the girl scouts got the opportunity to talk with and ask questions about different types of engineering and to partake in activities that showed how much or how little each girl thought about planet Earth in her daily life. Each girl also got to design, engineer, and build her own custom, one-of-a-kind house! At the end of the workshop each girl was awarded a patch for attending the workshop and for her care about the Earth!
