On March 4th, a handful of our SWE officers and members represented Chico State at Intel's Engineering Awareness Program (EAP) in Folsom, CA.
The EAP is an annual one-day workshop designed to give female high school students the opportunity to explore engineering. Participants met girls in other high schools who are interested in engineering, completed hands-on labs in multiple engineering disciplines, and got a feel for what engineering is all about! This event is hosted annually by the Sierra Foothills professional SWE section.
Our SWE members assisted in workshops involving prosthetics, clean water, 3D printing, Arduinos, mechanical design, solar cars, soldering, and more!
